How to nurture yourself when stuck in a toxic environment-Inspired from my personal transformational journey

First understand what happens to you as a spiritual or sensitive/emotional person.
How does your energy work in such an environment?
You are a giver kind of personality. So your energy is always busy in giving out- nurturing people and balancing situations outside of you. This tendency of yours is so subtle and actively plays in every small or big situation that it impacts you hugely.
How does the giver tendency impact you?
You would start to forget to take care of your needs. All that you are left with is other’s trauma to process.
What kind of people make the environment toxic?
Such people who does not value the kind of efforts you make by giving your energy. They do not understand/believe or have trust in hidden forces of a situation.
My story
I was born in a family where being sensitive or emotional was seen as a weakness. All decisions taken were from a logical mind thus emotions had no place. As a child I absorbed a lot of trauma from my mother which disturbed my personal and marital life.
Problem that I was faced-
I was unable to fulfill my own needs because I was truly unaware what I need to do for self care. This complete unawareness caused expectation issues with my partner.
Things I did to come out of this toxic environment-
Healed my heart by stopping negative self talk
Made efforts to know myself & NOT from toxic people’s perception
Keep focused on my growth and future and be secretive about it. The moment you start to do this, some help would definitely be sent by the universe to you.
Relax your mind by doing something that you like.
How did this healing journey look in my day to day life?
(Just to give a little more insight into how healing actually looks like, I am sharing this part of my article.)
While I practised above guidances, in my practical life I was
Feeling stressful
Even a small task felt like a big challenge
Wanted to run away
Have to train my mind constantly to not see myself from the lenses of toxic person. Even the way to handle a situation should be from my angle and not anyone else.
Constantly was fighting with guilt and shame- stopped myself from consuming any reel, youtube content that made me feel so
After patiently following my healing path, this is how my life started to show positive changes-
Materialistic goals started to manifest
Started to see real faces of people- who are good to you or bad
New opportunities came
People have stopped walking over me
Power of focus, clarity and straightforwardness increased drastically
Said lot of goodbyes to create space for good people in life
